As described elsewhere (see Propagation systems), micro-propagation is a very quick and efficient means to propagate plant material. It is especially suited to high value plants and plants that are generally difficult to propagate through conventional procedures. Currently, our main line is Zantedeschia species (arum or calla lily) and its hybrids, but we are expanding our varieties to mostly South African flowering indigenous species and cultivars.
We also propagate plants on request from growers or breeders - if you have a specific plant or your own plant material that you would like for us to propagate feel free to contact us! For every plant there is an optimal method using micro-propagation techniques to ensure maximum growth and production, true-to-type and disease free young plants. Through research and development we establish programs for every new line and can then supply quality plants to the grower. This means that we can deliver healthy young plants at high volume in a short period of time. Young plants can be supplied to growers directly from our micro-propagation laboratory (you do your own hardening off) or further grown and hardened off in our specialised greenhouses, according to the growers needs.
